Transform Your Self Esteem in just 7 days

Do you know the difference between self-esteem and self-confidence? These are terms I often hear clients use when discussing how they feel and conclude that their levels are low.

Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself, while self-confidence is about your beliefs in relation to achieving your goals. Both are created in the imagination centre of your brain's Default Network. Understanding that these ideas are habits of your own imagination that have become NeuroCoded, means you have the power to change them more easily than you might have thought.

Interestingly, low self-esteem can be linked to anxiety and depression, but it does not relate to your success rate in life. However, raising your self-esteem can improve your physical health by reducing stress through the hippocampus, which is part of the Learning Network in your brain.

As we set higher intentions to experience something different, obstacles can appears in order for you to develop and grow to meet your intention.

A lack of confidence is about you putting your attention on the obstacle and allowing yourself to talk you out of going for your goal and lowering the bar.  You can choose to own the importance of your intention and realise a new way of managing your energy, emotions and thoughts are needed to find the solutions that will move you forward to your outcome.  Get curious about what you can think, do and choose to feel differently  and code new powerful patterns.

Here’s a challenge to help recode your brain pattern: Spend a few minutes each evening noting your daily successes. Even the smallest thing, like getting out of bed, counts.

Consistency is key! Research shows that writing down small successes consistently for seven days can continue to boost self-esteem and confidence for the next six months. Teach your imagination to focus differently, and your patterns will shift. Hint: Keep this habit going and watch your world change.

For an extra boost, after the seven days, write a big list of your strengths and positive qualities and celebrate them. You can also ask friends and colleagues what they see as your strengths and qualities. Reflecting on their feedback can greatly enhance your self-worth.

Remember: Just pay attention to all of the tiny successes you have each day, and your confidence and self-worth will begin to soar!
